Ben and I met the summer of 1994. We were working together at The Dock on the beach. We had lots of good times together and we fell in love. We had our rehearsal dinner at The Angus steakhouse in Pensacola. We had a choice of Chicken Marsala, Flounder Marie, Sliced Roast Beef, and whatever you wanted to drink from the bar. The children had their own menu. We ended the evening by going our separate ways. Ben went with his Dad, Uncle, and Best Man, out for a night on the Beach (and all of the bars!). I went with my Maid of Honor out for a night on the town. The next day, November 9, 1996 at 4 o'clock in the evening, we were married. We had an outside wedding, held at the Seville Square Gazebo in Pensacola, Florida. The weather was beautiful although it was a little chilly. Holley Peterson, the brides best friend, was the Maid of Honor. Cousin of the groom, Gordon Clark, was the Best Man. Jonathan Seger, brother of the bride, was the Ring Bearer. And Jenni Rohr, cousin of the bride, was the Flower Girl. Mr. Victor Henken was a sweetheart and did the honors and made it one of the happiest days of our lives. Steve Hernandez provided music for the ceremony and Becky Ivester, vocalist (and aunt of the bride), filled our ears with delight by singing, "The Wedding Song". Our reception took place following the ceremony at Bleachers on Pensacola Beach. We had a beautiful 3 foot tall cake, made by Ben's mom, Jackie Parish. We celebrated with lots of friends and dancing. "The Legend Band" provided us with an excellent array of music for our dancing pleasure. They were awesome. We ended the night at The Hamilton on Pensacola Beach. The next day, we left for Disney World in Orlando, FL where we stayed at the Hilton for a week. Our honeymoon was nice. We ended the week by attending a Florida State Football game!
